I went to MGL yesterday afternoon again to speak the both the manager and head technician and we have some very good news!

1) All crappy joysticks will get brand new ones as well as every single button will get replaced!

2) Both 3S monitors on the H2H cabs will be fixed!

3) CVS2 H2H player 2 monitor and both sides sound will be getting fixed!

4) ALL TOP CAPCOM FIGHTING GAMES WILL BE GETTING PS2 CONTROLLER PORTS BUILT INTO THE CABS! Now you can bring your own sticks for 3S, CVS2 & MVC2 if you don't like the ones on the cabs!

5) All 3S, CVS2 & MVC2 will be going H2H and will have a new section layout just for it, the next being MVC2. The manager said he wants the PS2 ports done before this though.

6) MGL's next 2 day tournament event is a go. The manager is asking when I'm going to hold this BUT I am not planning nor confirming ANYTHING until all the games are tournament ready! I'm looking to hold this event after the PS2 ports are installed.

Summer 2008 is looking extremely promising for Nor-Cal's fighting game fans!

Tekken 6 is at MGL now.

MVC2 is going H2H and will be put in 2 big screen showcase cabinets. The cabinets are already in place and should be ready to play in the next couple weeks.

All games should be going all out H2H in the next months. Since the manager is putting MVC2 H2H in 2 showcases, he might do the same for the rest. I'll try to confirm this ASAP.

MVC2 is H2H in 2 big screen showcase cabinets now... so all you MVC2 heads should love that.

I'm guessing after the cabs are finished(H2H, PS2 ports, ect.) they are going to replace all the panel parts. Once the parts are replaced I'll post the next tournament. I don't mind the fact that they aren't replacing the parts just yet. I don't want to hear any complaints during the next tournament like "well this isn't working blah blah blah..." or "blah blah this.. blah blah that". Let them get the cabinets set up H2H and modified first and then we'll talk about the panels.

They scrapped the PS2 port idea.

I talked with the GM and we are working on somthing new in terms of "tournaments" it seems. Not going to say what it is until I see some action. We all know how that goes. I'll keep you all posted.

Making something that takes the PS2 controller should be easy. Get an extension cable and jack the connector from it, and wire it to the same pins as the joystick and give them a common ground for the analog input. Man, that would have been tight if they did that, but its all good. I can't wait to see the new improvements.
